That hasn’t been our experience. But you do have to pay more attention with an absorption fridge. We have this monitor so we can continually check on the actual temps inside. Typically we will have to reset the temp control to a colder level during a hot day with lots of opening and closing of the doors and then dial it back during the night to prevent freezing the milk. I also have added a “Fridge Defender” which can include external and internal fans to improve efficiency. I know residential refrigerators are all the rage these days but for us they are way too power hungry.
