First couple of times using the Furnace the howl was a bit much. There was several different sounds and thinking something was amiss from the factory (how strange.... not!) I removed the door and took a look. I found that the flue section in the door that has a vent for supply and exhaust looked like it was too far into the flue tube. Reading the installation instructions the overlap between the two tubes only needs to be 1-1/2" and this was closer to 4". So I cut off an inch of the tube in the shop (dremel to keep from oblonging it), polished the end and reinstall. Last pic you can clearly see bottom of the flue curve looking in the exhaust end.
Results are better but not perfect. A bit less in intensity and howl inside. But still louder than I would like. Outside about the same. Next project is to get some sound deadening foam and install inside around the furnace watching the clearances for air flow.
