My wife just changed her phone plan to Metro PCS. Her plan includes a hotspot thru her phone. The plan includes 9GB for the hotspot. I put a Chromecast on our interior TV and set Netflix to its lowest video level.
If you have a good phone signal, it works well. I can get 25-30 hours streaming from Netflix per month. Beware that using full video quality from Netflix or Amazon you will get 4-6 hours per month. Using the hotspot for internet browsing is handy if we are both using our tablets. If you are using your phone directly, data usage is unlimited.
