Well there’s a reason it’s geared for higher RPM. It’s a big, heavy, unaerodynamic truck. It takes a considerable amount of power to keep it moving at speed and, as a general rule getting that power needs RPM. You probably could bring the RPM down by various means but you might not like the performance and you’d be badly lugging the engine just driving down the road.
