The Axis/Vegas twins at 94-inches wide are significantly narrower than larger Thor Cs that are 99-inches wide.

The tapered front you are referring to was described by Thor as 7’-3” wide, or 87 inches. The taper is therefore 7 inches total, or 3-1/2 inches per side. That’s Thor information, not mine. I did a lot of research on Axis 24.1 when looking at buying one.

Since narrower body would represent much less than 1/2 MPG between Axis/Vegas and Class Cs of similar size, it makes it obvious that Axis/Vegas has a much lower coefficient of drag; in addition to +/- 5% lower frontal area.

Newer Axis/Vegas on E-350 may also have 4.10 gears instead of larger Cs on E-450 that have 4.56. If so, that also makes Axis/Vegas more fuel efficient. Just saying that there are more differences than similarities in my opinion.
