Insurance Rant

I've read the threads/posts/horror stories about Good Sam (AKA National General/Allstate) rate hikes on renewal but over the last 5 years my hikes were minimal for my MH and primary toad. My numbers don't mean a lot to those with different locations and vehicles but they are good for my story.

We started out in the mid $600s for a 6 month policy and as of April 2022 it had increased over the years to $709 last April. I just got my renewal bill for the next 6 months and it is $1056; an increase of over 40% in a year with no claims and two vehicles another year older so comprehensive and collision should be cheaper.

They claim it's due to "claims increase and cost of litigation in my state", but if that was the case, then why hasn't the premium for my other two vehicles, insured by a different company, increased by a similar amount?

So a heads up to those of you insured by this company - someday their premium roulette wheel will land on your number.
