In some cases they do move the rear axle: On the Axis/Vegas units Mor-rhyde does extend the wheelbase of the original chassis. Our Axis has a wheelbase of 188" there is no E-350/E-450 stripped chassis available with that wheelbase (only 138 / 158 / 176 are available according to Ford 2017 Ford Stripped Chassis Commercial | Ford.com).
