Yes this mod is super simple, I used 2 pieces of scrap wood screwed together to form an "L" shape, then rounded the sharp edges with a sander and covered in cheap vinyl. To install them I drilled 2 holes and screwed each block to the back of the bench seat. That is all there is to it.
I agree I still need to find a place to mount the post.
