I just contacted Ford and my Axis is included in the recall and I got no notification whatsoever. I thought they were required by late to contact you in the event of a recall. Apparently I'm wrong. Looks like to be kept up to date on these things you have to be a member of a forum. Totally ridiculous!

There are a few possibilities here:
- The letter just hasn't got to you yet
- The dealer hasn't updated Ford with the sold-to info
You can also create an account at
Welcome to Ford Owner | Official Ford Owner Site put your VIN in and then just periodically check. That website will notify you of any Ford recalls, service required, etc. (at least the Ford part).
