Propane Refill

I saw a post once before about this, but now I can't find it. When we had the propane tank refilled on our 29M the gauge on the tank shows full, but the Firefly panel inside shows nothing. What's happening here? It was reading fine prior to the refill.

Check the wireing coming off the tank. The gas jockey might have disturbed them.

I was watching her filling the tank, and I did not see her disturb the wires. I checked the wires to the gauge, but I don't know exactly what I should be seeing.

I don't know anything about the firefly system but maybe a reset of the system will clear your problem

I don't have the firefly system either, just the idiot LEDs for the status of the propane tank in side the coach. Sometimes it reads correctly' sometimes it reads empty when it is not. It's an intermittent bad connection between the indicating panel and the gauge on the tank. I've checked the wires and connections on the gauge end and found no problems so it's probably at the panel connection. I'll look at it next time I have a real reason to look back there. In the meantime the gauge is accurate.

Unfortunately this seems to be fairly common althought it's usually other readouts not propane, simply put I don't usually trust any of my readouts, I'll use them sometimes but don't count on them.

I guess so. Just annoys me when the panel lights up and that one thing is not right. Disturbs my OCD

It must be something at the tank gauge. The Firefly is wireless. The little annoyances get frustrating. But we love the rig.

We haven't read about what you saw when you looked at the tank electrical connections to see if one came undone.

The Firefly display may be wireless but at some point the wires from the gauge have to tap into the brains of it.
