Curved light bar, about 35 bucks on amazon.
It is mounted by drilling a #7 hole and tapping for 1/4-20 bolts in each frame horn.
The orange things are urethane bushings I have laying around.
It will power from the ignition side of the Stromboli, Tribeca, whatever that thing is called and will activate through the relay by tying to the led running lights.
By tying to the daytime running led's the bar is on for drl, parking lights and on for high beam, but off for low beams.
I decided to mount the light bar to the frame horns instead of the hood just for the ease of the mount and I'll make an anti-scatter cowl for it that I can't make if the light bar is hood mounted(I can make the shield if I hood mount the light bar, but the shield will stick out past the grille and look pretty goofy). The light bar is not really crooked. It's the camera doing that.
It looks like a tractor beam from a bad scifi movie when it's lit up. Once the scatter shield/cowl is on it it will be a billet of solid light jutting out about fifty yards.

Everything (that can possibly be made to fit) I make in the shop or modify is made with 1/4-20 hardware. They generally use a 7/16" wrench.
The tool box has exclusively 1/4-20, 7/16" tools and fasteners I need to tap or ream or thread or insert, remove or install.
It sure makes life easy to know I can reach back behind my head, at arms length, and it's going to be a 7/16" fitment.

I liked this idea on the storage to the left of the driver so much I went out to see what would need to be done and then cheated. I took the screw out that holds the plastic insert off and stopped at that point. I just lift the plastic insert up and put my paperwork in and just put the insert back.

A slight set back on the light bar.
I accidently touched a ground with the positive.
Where is the fuse for the led lights that surround the headlight bezel?

Duckface - I really like this mod. I been thinking of the same thing for my Axis but never pulled the trigger.
Put a link to Amazon for your light bar please.
VegasBaby - I was going to look at my DS console this weekend. Good to know you can just take off the insert. I might go a step further and carpet the inside of this compartment but use the insert hole for access.
I like to use mine as a glove box for stuff I dont need very often (insurance papers and registration, some manual for WeBoost, WiFi Ranger etc). Plus It will be a good hiding spot as well.

Maybe F8 or F2 in the fuse block below the driver's seat.

Thanks. I get to lay backwards upside down and pull fuses today.
I figured out my mistake.
I've wired one of these lights about four times on my vehicles and this time I forgot to cut the trigger wire that is on the pre-built harness. So I supplied 12v TWICE to the drl led lights.
When I replace the fuses with the breakers that fit a fuse slot, I'll do a write up and source thread.
Thanks for the location info.

Yes, a write up please. No need to re-invite the wheel.

On my 2018 Axis the fuse block for the dash- the components installed by Thor are in the compartment front left, below the drivers seat. That's the diagram I posted. YMMV
Not under the steering wheel which is Ford's.

Well, that 3xpalins a lot
I looked under there, saw my slide control Flashing nine times saying a ground fault, and carefully closed the hatch... I just didn't want to know any more.
I'll pull those fuses in that compartment. One did say 'headlights', maybe that's it.

Update on our counter mod: Sink & cooktop are in; took them over to the RV to see if they fit (measurements said they would). We're in luck: they fit.
With the 10" deep sink, however, I'll have to do some modifications in that cabinet: Lower the plumbing, trim off the top of some interior pieces and trim down the left side of the top drawer--may not lose the drawer completely.
The sink is amazing, even came inside a felt bag... The Axis will be a little bit more "upscale" when I'm done LOL.

Well done, one of my mods on both our Axis and, current, Vegas 25.2 has been to install a stainless sink. It makes such a difference and adds a little 'class' to the kitchen area. I also added an oak sink cover to give it another residential feel.

New counter update
Swung by the RV to take some measurements, now I have a diagram for the cabinet makers:
Sticking my phone in the empty spaces and taking some pics (want to be sure there isn't much behind the sink and stove that would block things) it would appear that the counter top is simply stapled down ! LOL
The black area is the underside of the counter; look at the strip on the left--staples.

Let us know the where and how.
Yeah, I had the flashing, called the company and the tech it was a ground effect (huh? can't remember now) and I've ignored it for a year.

I checked every fuse under there and all were good.
I am lead to believe there might be some stupid in-line fuse....

Bought and installed the new digital thermostat
After seeing information on this forum, I ordered the new Coleman Mack Digital Thermostat. This was probably the easiest mod I have made on our 2016 Thor Axis 25.1. It works great. Much better than the original one. Cooled down the RV very quickly and there is not that big range of temps in there now.

Outdoor TV Glare
After reading through these mods I am completely impressed with everyone’s ideas and skills! We are nearly 6 months in on taking the plunge into RV ownership and we have no regrets. We love our Vegas! I can’t thank everyone enough for all the knowledge you have shared with us newbies. The info we received from you helped to give us the courage to make the decision to purchase. We no longer felt as though we were completely ignorant about RVs. We have definitely used some of your mod ideas on our rig regarding sound proofing and heat control in the cockpit. Thanks so much!
Now I have a question. I have googled until I am blue in the face with no results. We have entered tailgate season, and I can’t tell you how much better it is with an RV. The heat here in southeast Texas on an asphalt parking lot is brutal. Having the Vegas is wonderful! Having the outside TV is also great except we can’t see it in daylight. The glare basically makes the screen invisible. Does anyone have any suggestions for a remedy? I realize this is a minor inconvenience, but it would really be nice if we could see the football games instead of just listening to the announcer.
Did I mention we love our Vegas?
