Water pressure

A couple days ago my water pressure dropped, so I checked outside and the pressure was fine. So I changed my water filter and it was ok for a couple of days, now it’s low pressure again. Can the water here be so dirty that it’s plugging my filter that fast. I stayed here last year with 0 problems.

Might be worth pulling all of the screens off your fixtures to clean them and remove debris.

I had water pressure issues in my bathroom sink and when I remove the screen from the end of the faucet there was enough fine particles.... sand, calcium deposits, etc. that it was interfering with the water flow out of the faucet.

Why not run a pailful of water from your source, and see what settles to the bottom of it?

Have you asked the CG if they are experiencing problems with the pressure? I had a reduction in pressure once and it was the screen washer as suggested. Check the inlet at the rig at the ball check valve. Sometimes it can catch stuff.
If you put water in your tank and run the pump, does the problem go away? If so then the problem would be before your water inlet to the rig.

Sorry... I had to ask...
After all: it wasn't mentioned in your original post.
Good luck!

He stated outside pressure was fine. "Pressure" inside will be the same, sounds like his "flow" is being reduced.

Pull your filter and see if it's getting clogged.

I agree: it sure is unusual.... but not impossible!
Good look with sorting it all out: please let us know what you find.

Keep in mind that you "may" have a secondary "in house" filter..either in the water bay,@ the water pump or under the sink(s)

He does as he has a DRV. It is close to the water manifold. All newer DRV’s are this way. This is why he posted this thread in the DRV section.

I believe it does. It is not filtered going into the fresh water tank, but gets filtered leaving the tank.

So the filters are clogging? If so, I would let the campground know. As there might be a break in the water line allowing dirt to get in the water supply.

pressure

I would turn off city water, release water pressure and check your new filter. If its dirty you know the problem is with camp water.

Ryan,
Confused a little here on the filters--ALL the water going in to my DRV goes first to the main canister filter. Thus, any water going into the fresh tank has passed thru that filter. What is the secondary filter being mentioned?
Joe

Joe, I think it is not filtered when going into your tank unless you have a filter before the water inlet.
But I could be wrong.
The only mention of a secondary filter was from a non DRV owner.

I personally run the blue filter then a water softener before it even enters the rig.

pressure

This thread reads like another good reason to run a pre filter/ water softner before water enters our rigs. Was a good seminar on that at the rally in june.
