Totally agree. Honor, Advertising, Marketing? He has said himself. Use the American Flag to skirt the local sign ordnance. That is marketing a marketing ploy for the products you sell. Just like giant balloons? But giant balloons are against the ordinance.
We see the Flag as Sacrifice, Honor, Bravery, FREEDOM ETC. He sees it as a big marketing balloon that he can get mega Free Advertising from by whipping up Americans that it's about the Flag. Disgraceful!

You may find it disgraceful. I think it’s beautiful and it makes me happy every time I see it. I couldn’t care less if it also has a corporate identity/marketing function. God bless America!

My opinion. Yes, Disgraceful using as a Marketing ploy! The Flag is AWESOME!!
I'm Flying one Now @ Home. We LOVE seeing them traveling the country! Have one on my rig & motorcycles. I guess some still miss the point Those Flags are put up for SALES of a product a Gimmick. Our Family Honors the Flag every American Flag & Love Seeing them on the road (When we travel in the motorhome our favorite game is Whoever sees an American Flag gets a point. We play to 21). We also don't go out on Memorial Day and try to get a Discount on a Mattress....... God Bless America!!!! I kiss the ground every day!!!!

Unlike many of the people commenting on the CE flags, I am not a mind reader. I believe that CW puts up the flags to honor the flag and not primarily as a marketing ploy. I might be wrong but as others have commented I love seeing Old Glory waving in the breeze. I love these big flags.

“The flag isn’t coming down. It’s the only thing I know for certain," Lemonis said. "I know I’m going to die. I know I’m going to pay taxes. And I know I’m not taking the flag down.”

This is what I called the right kind of rebel; with a cause; that will win in the end game. This city is silly. They should be working on changing the ordinance. Even if they make the extra large size only applicable to certified US Flags.

Hooray for Camping World $59 for any install and now $50 a day to fly a Gigantic (5 times larger than Huge) flag.

God Bless America

I didn’t watch your posted source since I don’t subscribe to any of the sites I found that had the video you were commenting on.

If anyone needs confirmation they can email me & I can send them a clip. I rather not have them spend $$. If you have read any of my posts in the last years. I truly try helping others in a jam trying to give back for all the help others have given me. I take the forum seriously by trying not to waste others time filling up every post with useless reply's. If I'm guilty of anything here... It's that I'm passionate about America and Honor of the Flag. Safe Travels this Summer & Always!

What do you do with a failing Company:
Get the company in the media spotlight and hope that will bring in customers.

Never really understood the whole fixation with the flag thing. I'm a proud American veteran, gun enthusiast, and while I am in my own country, speaking English (American style) I see no need to fly a flag or otherwise prove anything to anyone. I grew up in the West and we have an "individulist" outlook on life and don't care much about what others think or assume.
But if someone else wants to fly a flag or hang a bumper sticker or wear a pin, I say: go for it!
I guess I'm saying that it is not an issue worth bothering with.

The company for years has flown these large flags so this one location is no different than any other.

I am a former elected city official , the recent Supreme Court ruling made almost all sign ordinances illegal. No sign can no longer be governed on its content, so about the only power left is to regulate size. Some cities are using this as a show of power and political agenda.
This would be a easy change of ordinance, to acknowledge patriotism.. or even a variance . BUT INSTEAD , UNLIKE SOME HAVE SAID , this is not about Camping world drawing spotlight , it’s about the CITY INTENTIONS TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THEIR POLITICAL VIEWS.

Sure is a lot of limp wristed anti patriotic comments in here. Let me help you out and make it simple so "everyone" can understand.

If my flag is not infringing on you or your property but you still don't like it feel free to leave the country.

If my flag is bigger than you and your individual beliefs like, feel free to leave the country.

If you think my flag should be regulated into spaces you decide, feel free to leave the country.

If my flag offends you, I will buy your one way ticket to leave the country but you can never return.

Some people in our beloved country can't wait to tear down all the Civil War Memorials, all the historical flags, all the crosses, all the references to religion in school or public buildings and anything else that simply doesn't fit their progressive agenda.

There are no such things as "safe places to grieve", your parents are not the "conservative devils" and your college professor is not Jesus but a simple drug using anarchist. Everyone has a right to an opinion. The vast majority loves and respects the flag, mom, baseball and apple pie. If you are not part of that majority that makes you the minority. Since there are so few of you feel free to leave the country and start your own. Until then just keep your mouth closed so everyone doesn't think you're a card carrying Bernie socialist communist.

If you really want to protest the American flag try this. Paint a giant flag on your RV. Then use some black or red paint to paint a universal "no" symbol over it. Be sure to come back here and tell us how many times you were beaten up and in what campgrounds and rest stops. I wanna send them a small donation.

Here endeth this thread and the stupification of and otherwise great forum.

Not all large flags are flown as a marketing gimmick. We have one of the largest flag poles in the state of Virginia flying along I95. It happens to be 2 exits north of one of the largest Confederate Flags being flown along an interstate.

No matter how hard some folks try you cannot erase history. I'd much rather see the stars and stripes flying over camping world that the hammer and sickle.
