We store ours outside (in a crushed stone/asphalt lot) all winter long. I try to cover it when I can.
We stored our 5th wheel in the same lot for 10 years.
Your biggest risk/danger/etc. to the RV in storage is UV damage. Not rain, wind, etc. The RV can handle that (ok yeah if a tree falls on it that would be worse LOL). UV will slowly fade and eat away at the paint, fabric, plastics, tires, etc. Thus your best bet when storing it for a long time is to cover it.
In the 10 years of storage for our 5er: The plastic hatches got all brittle and broke during a hailstorm, all the wallpaper faded from UV and the outside paint faded and turned chalky (yeah we didn't cover it that much--learned my lesson: The Axis gets covered).
