I love my Miramar. We've had a few problems which for the most part I addressed myself.

Thor yes Camping World NO

I purchased a 2015 ACE from Camping World... I have 46,000 miles on it and I've had my problem. One of my biggest problems was Camping World but all in all I would purchase another Thor. People that I have talked to say that they have had problems with all RV Dealers... I ended up calling Thor directly several times and they were very helpful. They contacted Camping World and boy then they jumped through hoops for me.

We’ve purchased 2 motorhomes from camping world. They had the product I wanted at a good price. They are what they are.

I agree we have all had nightmare experiences, I think, with RV Dealers...
If anyone has had great experiences with RV dealers with major problems and had great experiences please let me know which ones they are...

We actually loved our dealer that we purchased from, but they ended up selling out to CW late last year (after we went past warranty.) We have used Colton RV in Orchard Park, NY for some work and they have been fair and honest and great to work with. Now that we are in Arizona for the winter, we hope we don't need a dealer for service.

Yes, agree you need to find a good dealer first.

While we no longer own a Thor: it was only due to the fact that our needs had changed, and we found another RV that fit the bill...
But if we were shopping: we'd certainly take another look at Thor!

I love my Axis. I’ve had a few issues, most of which I have fixed myself.

Actually, I have gotten great satisfaction in finding solutions and learning new repair and maintenance skills.

Of the brands I've owned, not one of them had major issues that I see some folks have, perhaps I'm lucky.

And of the brands I've owned, all have had various things that I've had to fix/repair/reengineer.

So yes, I would.

Yes we definitely buy another Thor. Previously had a Challenger and recently traded that in for an Aria. Both have had issues but nothing major. Love the Aria and would recommend it to anyone looking for a mid level diesel.

Yes we would buy another Thor. We submitted an offer on a 2020 Aria 4000 on Monday. We walked away because I was not willing to pay their lowest price, which was 10K higher than my highest price.

Yes, we would buy another Thor. But...I will be much better prepared and it will be a much more thorough set of inspections both during the initial look over during the selection process and the PDI before taking ownership.

I had originally posted back in early 17 we were happy with our Thor Vegas. Now in mid 2019 we still feel same way.

We are past the 3 year mark and unit is still impressing us with its overall value. Though it primarily tows open racecar trailer, when used for vacations and as a mobile hotel room it has shined. The shear utility and ease of use is excellent. We keep it plugged in all the time which bit me last weekend when chassis battery died after fueling. Easily replaced and back in service after a quick charge of onboard generator.

Other than it being time for awning fabric replacement and new house batteries, unit has been little effort to keep operational.

We are very content and would definitely buy another Thor unit.

Yes, I would purchase another Thor product. Once you get the bugs worked out... I think they are great.

I would check out my next RV much closer and offer them $5 or $10K less just for the fact I ended up fixing most of the stuff myself and the batteries only lasted 9mo and CW + Thor would not stand behind them. That way I can justify the so-so QC coming out of the factory.

And / Or have CW give me at least $1K in credit so I can purchase replacement parts as needed.

I would buy a Thor on a Mercedes or Freightliner chassis but not a Thor built chassis.

Clarify for me. What is a Thor built chassis?

Good call. Should have said any chassis substantially modified by Thor. Stretched, drive lines etc. When it comes to the foundation I would be more cautious.

Thor

My understanding has always been that the stretched chassis procedure is done by Moryde (sp?) which does this for many of the companies. It also seems that almost all customers of all the brands have complaints about the way the E450 and F53 handle right off of the dealer's lot. The majority of the complaints are with the issues concerning the coach itself from what I read.

Yeah it seems the modified Ford Chassis do pretty good for any RV manufacture.

Im happy with my E450. I dont think I would change a thing with the Chassis. But the Coach mounted on top of it is another story.
