Axerra radio in Freedom Elite E350 cab

I need to hook up the Siriusxm tuner to the back of the radio, does anyone know if it’s possible to access the radio by removing the engine cover and going through the bottom of the dash? Unit is parked at storage facility, and I don’t want to be unprepared when I get there, I’m really trying to avoid removing dash cover and radio. Mike

I'm not sure on an E350; you can do this on an F53 chassis though.

Are you sure your Axerra radio is Satellite ready? Or are you just connecting to the AUX in ports?

It’s satellite ready, you just need to plug a tuner into it!

I seem to recall someone mentioning that you just need to slide a butter knife in along each side of the radio, and it'll open up the catches...

You have to remove the front bezel. It’s snapped in place but all the switches are mounted to it. Many plugs and even vacuum lines have to be disconnected. Instructions says u have to drop the steering column but I was able to work it out.
Removing the dog house, might give you enough access but I just removed the whole head unit.

You might have gotten two of these tools in the pile of stuff you should have gotten when you bought the rig. If not, as mentioned above, you may be able to accomplish the same thing with two butter knives.

Actually we didn’t get them, I’m hoping I can access from underneath I just need enough room to plug the tuner in and wire tie it to something.
