Diesel Generator Exhaust, splatter on the coach

Traveling on a super hot day, ran the generator, while driving. The diesel exhaust pipe from the generator is in the front of the coach, and it left spots and streaks of diesel all down the drivers side of the coach. It will wash off but what a mess.

It is a Magnitude XG32. The generator is in the first storage panel behind the drivers door and the exhaust is behind the left front tire.

Are there any options like an exhaust tip that points down, or moving the exhaust out the back? Since it is diesel, it doesn't have a CO2 issue.

Sounds like you might have an injector problem

My generator exhaust the same area and never leaves any stains or unburned fuel along the side

How many hours on the generator and what condition is the air filter in?

Brand new, 24 hours on it. That would make sense. We had a leak with fuel on the ground during the walk through. So they found a clamp on the fuel input and fixed it.

Sounds like you might have some kind of leak but it sure shouldn't be getting fuel or exhaust on the side

Hopefully it isn't a major problem

I would slide the generator out and have a very good look to see if anything shows up

the fuel filter is mounted on a hose and kind of hangs down on the drivers side behind the frame

Is this an 8k?

Something isn't right: mine has the exhaust outlet in the same place, and the coach is free of any exhaust residue.
Since it's new: take it back to the dealer, and show them what is happening.
Good luck!
