Thor Windsport Water Tank

Hi all. New here but doing some research on Thor RV's. In regards to the 34' Windsport fresh water tank, is there any reason the 50 gallon tank could not be switched out for 100 gallons? Seems to have the same chassis, black tank and gray tank as the Miramar so wondering if anyone has come across this. Aside from tank size, the Windsport seems to check most of the other boxes.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, is their room for it?

Sounds simple but I bet there is NOT enough room (in one location). Perhaps you can add another 25 in a another spot and connect together? Have a seperate pump fill the orginal tank when its empty?

Im sure it NOT as simple as swapping out tanks.

no, chances are the factory is limited to the room required for such a large tank, or else they would probably already have one there since the cost for the difference in sizes is minimal... also, 'taking out' a tank is not an easy task, if a modification is considered, since probably the only way would be thru the 'floor' of the basement.
While the Miramar and the Windsport may seem similar, chances are the chassis are not as close as they may look, and the layout of the coach will have a big impact on tank placement and sizes as well.

Thanks everyone for the input. Sounds like I'll have to physically take a peak to see if there's room to potentially add a smaller tank somewhere else. Appreciate the help.

Maybe you could just buy some five gallon water storage cans and stash them in various storage bins for emergency use. That way you can also balance the additional weight.

Interesting thought.the tank in my 15 windsport is under the queen bed.simple access.there is more room under there.it woud be easy to add another tank and pump i just dont do much boondocking so dont see the need.sometimes i wish grey tank was bigger though.
