The link above is to pictures of my 10.1 inch touch screen radio head installed in an Axis/Vegas.
Whoa! Do you really have a need for 8 USB ports?

That radio looks great in your vehicle.
What do you love about it? Would you buy the same model again?

But, your dash is nothing like mine.
Does anybody have pictures of a 10.1 installation in a 2016/17 E350/E450?

We use most of the ports. I haven't got around to putting ports at the driver and passenger seat and overhead.

Two phones
Another dedicated phone running weather radar and Google assistant
10" tablet running torque that sits in my e450 dash instrument pod as a dashboard
Radio head running Sygic maps and next exit.
Tpms
Dash cam
Echo/alexa
Valentine in the 12v outlet.

It's overwhelming for some, it's grocery getting for us.

These two in the picture are where my side cams and backup cam now displays instead of on the radio head and the other is for flir(pending. I have the system but it's not installed)

There's nothing I know of I'd change about the radio except it won't stay off. Since there's power to it all the time it decides to turn the screen on after a day or two.
It has a nice interface, apps installed easily, I was able to find the secret indexes and Easter eggs on line.
It's missing something. Hdmi port and aux in I think.
It gets its wifi from my on board mifi unit so it operates just fine on the road.

Axerra may be right given they designed the system with limited capability

I am curious if the AV-In suggestion will actually work? Most radios have you select source i.e Radio, BT, CD/DVD, AUX etc.?

I do know one inexpensive way to fix your problem and it might lead you to an even better idea

I have an Outdoor Theater in my backyard, it is how I keep Covid 19 non-serious friends and relatives out of my house

Anyways... I purchased a Bose Solo 5 just playing around. I use a laptop to stream video to a projector. The Bluetooth from my laptop connects to my Bose Solo 5; compared to what I had, we get really nice sound. I say it that way because you may wish to buy an even better system that can do the same thing?

One day by accident. I was outside and noticed music playing on the Bose Solo 5; but it was not the movie we were watching? I got confused; so I turned the volume down on my Bose Solo 5 and everything got quiet!!! Turn it back up and I hear the movie and soft music; so I turn the volume down on my laptop and I could clearly tell the music was from my mobile phone that had connected to my Bose Solo 5. It was playing music too!!!

I now plan to put a Bose Solo 5 or similar in the RV and connect to the main TV. It would at least allow a 2nd person to connect to play music if my phone is otherwise connected to the main system.

I think a 10.1 inch piece of black cardboard would be a reasonable mockup screen to check fitment and finesse now that you know there's no buttons and such as interference. (the touch buttons are all along the drivers edge, top to bottom)
I use mockups a lot.
AND
Some units newer than mine rotate 90 degrees and tilt about 30 degrees and they adjust left right up down by about two inches so they needn't be centered to the radio hole.
