Garmin GPS
I bought the new Garmin GPS for RV's a few weeks back and have been happy with it. You can switch between car and Rv settings and when testing it out it does take you through different routes in the Rv setting, some i don't know why . It gives warnings for curves, RR crossings, speed reduction, length restrictions & schools that i have seen so far, have not been near any low bridges yet. You can modify what warnings that you want to receive. You can put in your Rv height, width, weight & length into the unit to help you navigate. Nice 7" screen and voice activated too. The model just came out a few months back so there was not any deals on it, everyone seems to have the same price of $399.99. Model number is RV770LMT-S. I bought one of those bean bag mounts to attach it too so it doesn't slide around the dash but had to put a piece of slip stop shelf liner under it also to keep it from sliding around the dash.

I use either my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S8+) or my iPad Pro (12.9") for navigation with CoPilot. The DW usually looks up various POI on her smartphone or iPad while we drive... but keep in mind I am an IT guy (for 3 more weeks anyway) so we are well versed in the information technology world.

I have been doing the same but after the last trip Maria and i decided a stand alone gps would be better and to use the phone as a supplement.

safe t plus
I am so glad I saw yalls post about the steering and handling fix. I installed a Safe T Plus steering stabilizer and Blue Ox sway bar. It made a world of difference. I could drive with one hand. No problem with wind, or unlevel roads. I limited the big sway or side rocking when turning. I am very happy with that mod.

Vince, I originally thought Jerry was responsible for the AC mod, he said he got it from Dino who got it from someone else. Whew, this is getting confusing!
I believe in giving credit where it's due and if you were the originator of the AC mod, Thank You!!! Simple, easy, and works well!!!

Kind of busy day today. Install the Steves blind on the rear bedroom window. Its in solid and wont go anywhere. Filled the multiple holes in the wall made by the factory tech who installed the original blind with caulking. I will used a colored marking pen to try to match the wall color once it drys.
Then removed the bedroom and outside tvs. Plan to buy and install new Samsungs this weekend.
Pulled the dash cover in front if the steering wheel off and found to camera box. Thanks for the tip dave.
Now to decide if i want to copy Dino and get the new camera monitor.

Jerry, on the bedroom tv, if the Samsung connections come straight out the back, mine did, I've figured out a way to keep from having to cut the cabinet door. You can get a 90 degree cable and hdmi connector which should keep you from having to cut like I did. Also, the Samsungs use a larger diameter bolt for mounting, don't remember the size. I had to use a grinding stone on my Dremel to enlarge the slots, also had to stack some washers to get the tv level. Hope this helps!
I just looked at your bedroom tv location a little closer, my door was a solid cabinet door, did not have the big square cut-out yours does. You might not have to use the angled connectors. I took my door off and laid it on the back of the Samsung so I would know where to grind.

Jerry,
I have the Garmin GPS also and I have split the video feed from the cameras to display on the Axxera and the Garmin GPS at the same time. I have the Garmin mounted on the dash, just to the left of the instrument cluster hump. I can see the cameras a lot better on the Garmin because it has a much better viewing angle. Let me know if you want any info on what I've done.
Vince

Thanks! It was more out of necessity than anything else. I first came up with the mod for my Axis, which did a horrible job of keeping itself cool. But when I pulled the AC cover off, it blew like crazy, that's when I started looking for a way to get all the air the AC is capable of producing out. Glad to contribute to the excellent ideas that everyone comes up with here. And thanks Jerry for creating the thread man.
Vince

Went to Costco after dinner and bought two 32" Samsung tvs. I couldn't sit still for long after getting home. Started the bedroom install. First I had to relocate the cabinet door brackets. New tv is 4" in between the mounting holes. Old tv was probable 8", I didn't measure.
Samsung came with the M-4 mounting bolts but they to short because the bracket is fairly thick. I had two M-4x16mm bolts left from the Visio install. Little long but I used 3 #6 washers and it fits nice. SO tomorrow Ill hit up Home Depot for six more M-4x16mm and finish both tv installs.
Speaking of tv I think its time to watch some. CYA tomorrow with pics of the new tvs.

Jerry, sounds like your install is going a lot smoother than mine did! Bet everything will work great!

Both models took about the same amount of time to install, hardest part was removing the old Dicor. I had to cut the pipes on both vents, I have a two inch pvc cutter so it only took about 30 seconds to cut. I didn't get cheap applying the new Dicor, shouldn't have any leaks, and since it'll be hot today it should settle nicely.

After removing the old vent caps I can't help but firmly believe they will make a difference. The old caps appear very restrictive to air flow, the 360 will pull air from any direction because they are so open.
A couple of times we noticed a sewer smell in the bathroom, that's what prompted me to buy the 360. I keep meaning to check the anti siphon valve in the bathroom, just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.
I got both vents from Amazon, both take about the same time to put on, almost guaranteed you will need to cut the vent pipe. I was impressed with the design which is why I replaced gray and black vents. I think it will be worth the effort!
