What's the best motorhome chassis?
What's the best tire replacement?
What's the best motor oil?
These are just a few questions that will NEVER be answered, only opinions due to what others have or have had! And you're probably about to get more!
It's whatever you want & are willing to pay!

Well, I do have a preference although I have never tried it. Bigfoot has a semi manual one that lets you adjust each leg separately rather than punch a button and have it automatically level the coach.
In addition to being cheaper, it avoids some problems with the fully automatic ones that can lift the whole coach off if its wheels.
There is some question whether eight Bigfoot's semi manual or fully automatic ones fit on the new chassis that comes with the Ford V8. Check with Bigfoot before ordering.

Lots and lots of discussion on this topic in the Forum.
The system that Camping World installs costs well north of $6k.
It’s the HWH kick-down leveling system.
(You can also find a local dealer, or travel to the Iowa manufacturing plant for a reduced price)
The beauty of the HWH kick-down system is it affords maximum ground clearance (vs straight leg jacks).
The photo below is the system specs with the joystick manual control box.
The Auto-Leveling key pad system is available for a slightly higher price tag.

We had the HWH kick down jacks added by an authorized shop shortly after we pic picked up our previous 2016 Vegas. We had the auto leveling type, and you could use it manually when needed.
Can't address comparison, but we were happy with them. Do some exploring in Eastern Iowa and have the factory do the install!

I bought the HWH auto system and you can do manual with it, I bought the kit on Amazon for under $3,600.00 and did the install myself, its not a job for the weekend DYI but can be done if you got the time an the tools and some mechanical skills

Exactly. If an RV mechanic can install them then likely a competent DIYer can install them as well. Lotsa weekend DIYer have welders and the skill to use them as well. Drilling holes and bolting on levelers should be even easier.

Can't remember exactly from 7 years ago, but I think the installation on our Vegas 25.2 required drilling some holes in the frame. The authorized installer in Elkhart had to take it back in to adjust because generator was banging against the nearby leveler when we turned the generator off.

BigFoot's been working great for me .. have had 0 issues since I installed back in 2016: https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f2...egas-5602.html (there is a link to bunch of pics I took along the way as well).
Setting up and tearing down camp has gotten very simple and I often lift one or 2 wheels off the ground to get the rig to be level with no problem with these jacks.

Your profile says Georgia. If you are close to Savannah, I'll show you my Equalizer leveling system on my Vegas.

I installed Equalizer jacks mostly myself. I took the rig to a welder to have the pads welded on and then did the rest myself. It’s not a bad job but you have to be willing to crawl around under your rig to do it. The Equalizers are automatic but can be extended manually if you want. I use the auto level feature and it does a good job.

The problems I ran into doing my install is the two front storage cabinets have to be removed to be able to get between the body of the motorhome an the frame to drill the holes to mount the mounting brackets, you have to raise the front end up quite a bit to get the storage cabinets to slide down an out of the way, the frame is heat treated and regular drill bits will not drill the holes, cobalt bits are needed, the rear brackets on my 25.4 required a home made cross member of 4 inch channel as the generator is in the way on the left side, needed to do some welding and more drilling, there is a factory cross member right behind the fuel tank and its riveted to the frame channels and I had to drill them out and bolt my DYI cross member to the under side of the frame using the holes the rivets were in, I took my time and took about 2 weeks to do the install, its a lot of work when you are in your 70s, but it worked out well
