Tampa RV Supershow is this week!

Want to shop accessories, compare RVs and talk to company reps? Here's your chance. The show runs Wednesday thru Saturday, 9-6 and 9-5 Sunday.

This is one of the biggest shows in the country. Be prepared to walk a long ways. Entry is $12 and it's $8 to park. The tickets are good for 2 days, there's a military discount everyday and a seniors discount on Wednesday.

If you want to meet up on Thursday, some of us will be at the Thor Axis exhibit, #515, around 11:30 AM.

Here's the website for the show map:

I didn't see the "map". Was that a ninja edit or did I not do what I always admonish my wife for; read (or listen to) ALL the words?

I've done the same thing when foolishly trying to multi task. I don't mind being fact checked, but this time I said it right. No ninja skills here.

Prob would have been better to post the general site that you showed.

Well my bad then, but the audience now has all the information they could want.

I was told General RV will have a couple of the new Coachmen Cross Trek motorhomes, the smaller 20XG and 21XG, at Tampa. Both are based on Transit gasoline chassis.

I havenít seen these at all so interested on how their electrical system compares to conventional motorhomes.

I heard a rumor that General RV booth staffers will be wearing "flack-jackets" during the show.

Care to expand? Do they now have CW reputation?

Reading comments and experiences on this forum for a couple years...plus...trying to buy from them....twice. Have you ever dealt with them?

Yes. That is who we bought the current Accolade from. I will tell you that I will not give their sales or delivery people/departments the time of day and ignore them whenever I am in for service but their service department has been decent. On the few warranty items they verified the problem and I took the coach home while they got authorization for repairs and ordered parts. Over the holidays I got two calls from them with status updates and got a call today to schedule the "while I wait" appointment for parts installation. We also scheduled them to check a slide seal for leakage while I am there.

Now, we walked away from the deal once. When we did come to an agreement the delivery folks damaged the coach when they tried to fix a PDI item and the coach was not ready for acceptance (Mobile Eye was not calibrated and working). In fact I created a thread about General RV in the Entegra section of the forum.

http://www.thorforums.com/forums/f34...ach-19433.html

I will say our experience with them is a lot better than our experience having service done by Camping World.

How is RV parking at this show? Is there large lots you can just show up at or do you need to reserve parking space? Can you stay in the parking areas overnight?

Yes there are large lots that you pay $14 to park for the day or I think $20 to park overnight.

Zita and I will be there on Saturday, all day and would love to meet up and have a drink with you guys. LMK if you will be free and interested.

Still trying to make sense to April why we should go. She's afraid I will buy something. If we decide to make it, I'll let you know.
