Kayaks

Have any of you tried inflatable kayaks?
We have 2 hard body kayaks but I’ve been looking into the inflatables due to space and weight restrictions as well as high cost of outside carriers.
And traveling across country seems much easier to just stow them under the bed.
Appreciate any input.
Thank you,
VandD

I keep looking at them, but haven't pulled the trigger yet...
Research keeps leading me back to these...

This guy was on Shark Tank and "got a deal". Impressive looking design.

We have an Aire Outfitter II, and love it. They have several models in different lengths and price ranges. My neighbor is an outfitter and uses their Tributary and Tomcats for guided trips.

We use the Sea Eagle 465FT inflatable kayak and love it! Never used for anything too challenging; strictly lake paddling.

We have a 2-person SeaEagle that we love. It's easy to inflate with a foot pump and we find the seats quite comfortable with plenty of room for two tall people. We paddle on lakes and reservoirs with it. I know you can also buy a small sail, but we've not tried that.

Advance Elements has a full line of inflatable kayaks. We have used a convertible dual/single for about 5 years and love it.

Though not an inflatable, we have a Folbot double kayak; it stores well inside the back compartment of our 2018 Vegas 24.1, along with a kayak dolly, our spare tire, tools, and coolers. It does take 20 to 30 minutes to set up and break down and stow (sometimes longer).

Unfortunately, Folbot suspended new operations a few years ago, but used Folbots are sometimes found.

Since we're in the middle of purchasing a 12 foot trailer for our Toad: I guess that all we need are some brackets to which we can bolt some kayak carriers...
This opens us up to the non-inflatables as well!

Back to shopping...
