Noisy cab for 2018 24.1 vegas

Hello to all!
We recently purchased a, new to us , 2018 Thor Motor Coach. We love it so far but need some help with the noisy cab while traveling down the road. It is a 24.1 Vegas.

Anyone have some good recommendations to help alleviate the road noise?

Thanks!

My 2021 Axis has pretty good doghouse insulation. The tire noise is louder than from the doghouse. But I have read lots of reports of older models not being well sound insulated. So first try installing one of the thin (1/4" or so) foil insulating blankets on the inside of the dog house.

The tire noise can probably be tackled the same way, but I suspect it would have to be installed on the tire side of the wheel well. It isn't that obtrusive on my 2021.

My signature thread has many 24.1 mods, including wheel wells.

Research "automotive sound deadening". Same principles apply to motorhomes. Same techniques and same materials.

Do a forum search for "Dynamat".

There are many threads about soundproofing. I followed the advice of several and added heat/sound insulation on the underside of the doghouse. I also added a heavy, rubber backed, outdoor carpet mat material on the cab floor area. The total effect was a big improvement. Most of the noise is now wind and traffic.

We have a 2016 24.1. 2 biggest reduction in noise driving was insulate doghouse and latter going to rib style tires when replacing the M/S 2 agressive tread tires. That was a big surprise.
