Onan gas generator

Shuts off after about an hour or so of running?

Start with simplest first. How much fuel in the motorhome's gas tank? does the genny have unrestricted air flow, not overheating is it?

I have a full tank of gas. As far as overheating it was 60° outside it ran for about 2 hours.

We know it is Onan, but....

How old is it?
When did this start?
Do you have a controller (there are a few settings that could be impacting shutoff if accidentally changed?

Has all of this been noted with the same gas?

If they can say, Google is your best friend, I say SeaFoam is the best Generator Mechanic

Agree on the fuel pump. They last a couple of years and can overheat when there isn't really an heat. Replace the fuel strainer also that feeds it, what can happen is that dirt accumulates in the strainer and causes the pump to operate with lower fuel flow and the fuel is used as a coolant in the pump. So less flow, more heat, overheat.
After it cools down will work for bit.

Had this happen x2 on one.... over 11 years two FP and four strainers.

Good luck.

It's an intermittent problem. It's just now going to stop when you want it to.
