Sealant

Opinions on best sealant for redoing some outside waterproofing? Something similar to ProFlex. Maybe ProFlex is the best product??? Mainly using it around outdoor trim. Flexible and waterproof.

ProFlex as well. Dicor on the roof. If you find that someone put RTV silicone on, you have to remove all of it. That includes the you can feel but not see film. I have used Monster Block Lift Off. I also used a stiff scrub brush after doing a second application just to make sure. Nothing sticks to silicone including silicone.

Forget Dicor on the roof. It is a waste of time and money after the initial application.

Clean the roof and apply EternaBond Tape over all of the Dicor and overlapping to the to the roof.

You’ll never do roof maintenance again other than cleaning once a year.

I use Lexel for all trim and moldings.

What Judge said! One of the best things you can do!

Are you saying remove the Dicor and use Eternabond tape or use the tape over the existing Dicor?

Clean the Dicor and make sure it’s in good shape not cracked or pealing. Then just put the tape over it. Then you get two layers of protection. Dicor fails when it gets old and brittle. The tape over the Dicor prevents that. Like Judge said just overlap to the roof.
