You likely won't need AC, it's normally not hot enough and evenings are cool to cold. We never use hook-ups so I'm not sure what other concerns you have.

When we stayed in Madison we had frost every morning and ran the heat at night.
Generator time was at 7 AM I think. We had to trim a few low hanging tree limbs but was a good experience overall with no issues.
Bit of a wait at the dump station due to some newbies learning.
