Yes, I concur with most of the discussion. I am PO'd because they canceled my reservation at Newport Dunes RV Resort. I will wait a bit to check my other reservations.

Yes, I live in Southern California, Commy state controlled by China

Look at it this way: there's a lot of other States that have nice campsites...

The ICU capacity as I write this is 5% in the San Joaquin valley and less than that in Fresno County. I don't know what the answer is. I know people who have had the virus with 1 death and 1 person left with debilitating symptoms. I also know people who contracted it as it spread through their workplace while everyone was taking precautions and thought they were safe. And then there are friends and family members who have lost jobs or are on the verge of losing their small business they have worked hard to own. I am relieved that I and Homer are retired. Count yourself fortunate if you don't know anyone who has been sick.

I have to ask what the normal icu bed percent is, and unless mandated by a law regarding population count, why you'd have an icu that WASN'T 95% full all the time....
Floor space has to be worth changing unused icu beds to something of value.

I know about two dozen people personally who have "tested positive" for the WuFlu. Most stayed home and enjoyed their vacation with no symptoms. A few recovered from minor cold symptoms in a few days including two 70+ YO individuals with comorbidity issues like diabetes and hypertension. One 80+ YO man spent 2 days in the hospital and went back home - nobody else in his household tested positive.

Now that doesn't mean nobody gets deathly sick from contracting the virus, but it sure doesn't look like all the doom & gloom they love to preach, at least from my point of view. People are suffering more from being out of work and all the mental stress associated with the "pandemic".

Nobody from our 13 person Thanksgiving get together got sick, we wear masks (properly) when we go shopping and sanitize our hands every time we get back in the car. We go out to eat a couple of times per week to support and patronize our local restaurants that have put forth the effort to install plexiglass dividers and enforce mask wearing by the wait staff as well as the other sanitizing precautions. We do what we can utilizing the things we have control over that make sense to help prevent spreading this virus and after nine months we have managed to be successful as has a vast majority of the population of this country. Hopefully, the vaccines will put a stop to the fear mongering about this "pandemic", but then they'll just find something else to be dramatic about.

Are you nuts? That would make too much sense! You have to be kept in a total state of confusion. Less and you cannot be controlled. Follow me, do what I say...follow me.

LMAO

Here’s an updated article outlining the ICU available space in surrounding counties:

https://abc30.com/fresno-county-icu-...avirus/8637306

If one county falls below 15%, everything shuts down in the assigned region.
That way all the counties can assist each other as available bed space is reduced

Leads me to believe they simply don’t know how to govern other than a one size fits all policy. Too bad..
Maybe the French Laundry will allow overnighting in their parking lot......

Our Daughter in law is a nurse and where she works is busy but it's busy every year due to flu and other cases.

Somebody already said it if you don't know anyone that has died from the virus consider yourself lucky.
I have lost two guys that I worked with from Covid. Yes both were ex smokers and worked at a dust trade, the Heat and Frost Insulators. Also a good friend of ours lost her husband two weeks ago. Both got the virus, she with no symptoms he died 10 days after onset of symptoms.
The virus doesn't play fair. You can do everything right like our friends did and still get sick and die.
It is easy for us to sit here and rag about how governors are reacting to the virus. Sitting here playing key board quarterback is easy. Making decisions that effect everyday life for millions not so much.
Stay safe
Mark

We, the people, only ask two things regarding these decisions:

That they make sense in actually preventing the spread of the virus, and:
That the rules are applied equally to everybody without exception.

Exceptions dilute the purpose of the rules.
