Heating Pads on Holding Tank 2021 Magnitude SV34

Hello everyone we recently purchased a SV34 this week and are looking to take it to colder climate for the shakedown trip.

I turned on the holding tank heating pads and noticed the blue icon stays on on the multiplex panel saying that they are on but I see it stop pulling about 200 watts after the first few seconds like it turns back off and I can see it's no longer pulling from my Watchdog Surge protector. The fuse is good to it but it's like a safety on the pad is stopping it from heating. I confirmed the pads are still ambient temperature when "On" so they are doing nothing.

Any ideas because it heats that whole compartment!?

Don’t have one in my coach. But I’d assume there is a thermostat on it. Is it at or near freezing during your test run?

Most of the holding tank heating pads I have had on motorhomes have had thermostats built in and the pads will not come on until the temp drops below a certain point. The switch would indicate that the pads were turned on but they wouldn't really be on until the magic number was met.

If your tanks are in a heated or enclosed area it will impact when the pads come on.

According to the documentation on the owners site, it turns on at 45F and off at 68F.
