Be Careful Wyoming, a 99 mph gust

We just came through here .
6 inches falling in montana -18
Do we use pink stuff or air blow?

CASPER, Wyo. — The National Weather Service (NWS) has released 24-hour peak gust reports for the latest wind event in Wyoming.

In southeast Wyoming, a 99 mph gust was recorded along Interstate 25 near Bordeaux.

“That gust occurred with sustained winds of 76 mph, which is greater than hurricane force!” the NWS said.

I found this on NewsBreak – the #1 local news app used by 45+ million people: Sustained hurricane-force winds produced 99 mph gust in Wyoming during latest wind event

I use an app where I set my destination and time of departure. I then get the weather for the trip to include wind.

The app is Drive Weather.

Thanks!! I just downloaded and watched their video. This will be a great help when we drive from Portland to Indiana in April.

It not so sure….we had some absolutely vicious winds during a Texas-New Mexico run a while back. Still, the OP is correct. Although when I lived in western Nebraska we used to say there wasn’t actually any wind in Wyoming. It’s just that Nebraska sucks!

What an amazing experience for us. Wife born in montana and hardly ever traveled. In our motorhome 23 states in 1 year.
Still WY wind tops them all!
