Automatic Leveling problems

Started having trouble with the hydraulic level system. ATF tank was empty.
Added fluid and it went down again. Was getting an error message when I retract the system.

Found that the red retract line had worn thru on the left front due to being installed improperly. It was pressed tightly against the I beam frame and rubbed through the hose. Was spraying out fluid on retract!

Well add that to the list of things to check on your PDI (Post Delivery Inspection) when you get the MH home.

You didn't notice the puddle of fluid under your coach? It's a good idea to look for spots before and after you park your coach.

Same thing happened to us. Talked to Thor and they directed me to Lippert who installed the hydraulic lines in the chassis. Lippert reimbursed us for all out of pocket costs, but it took about 10 weeks.

These companies will never get better unless you press them on warranty claims.

Oh, wow. I called them and bought a replacement hose…charged me $100.00 for it!
I’m glutton call them back.
Thanks!

I would t even bother. Just go local and have a new line made for a couple of bucks.

When you get your new hose go to your local auto parts store and get some 1/2 inch heater hose and split the hose long ways with a utility knife and put it around your new and existing hoses where ever they might be rubbing on something sharp or hot, just add some zip ties to hold the heater hose in place, in some areas you can add a 3/4 piece of heater hose to wrap around the 1/2 hose for added protection, do the same with any wire harnesses that might be in a bad location

I'm thinking about trying that with propane hoses! Great suggestion! 👍

I had an 8 foot line made for about $105.00. Doesn't sound like a couple bucks to me, unless you're Bill Gates.
