Chassis low on panel

Can anyone help with why my chassie voltage, it is low reading low on my panel? I tried to start my engine and it will not start. I don't have access to power, so I have been Using my generator. everything was fine until today, I looked on the panel and the voltage was in the red. I ran the generator and it won't Charge. I then tried to start my engine and it's dead! Any suggestions please 🙏

Since you did not list your model, its a little hard to give you the info you need. If there is an AUX start switch, start the generator, let run for a few minutes, then press the AUX start switch and turn the key while holding it down. You may also have to run the generator for quite some time to charge the chassis batteries. Like hours.

I'm sorry I forgot to out all pertinent in
information, I have a 2020 Thor Windsport 34R. I see an emergency start button on the left side of the stirring wheel.
Im wondering if my batteries ran low on water and if thats why this has happened?
I'm not nee to the rv life, however I am new to having g to fix and learn about all the issues that arise. Your help is much appreciated ��

Yep... check the chassis battery water. Then turn the ignition ON. Then press and hold the emergency start rocker switch... you should hear a "clunk" noise. That's the Trombetta connecting the coach batteries to the chassis battery. You should be able to start the engine.

Next steps... If your alternator gauge is not reading something like 14 volts with engine running, you may have alternator problems.

Success, thank you so much! I followed your instructions and and the battery water was low, filled it, Started the engine exactly how you explained, it worked all gages seem fine and I'm running the generator to build the chasse backup. Thank you so much for all your help

With the failure to maintain the batteries(low water)and subsequent discharge, your problem may return and require replacement of that battery. Batteries do not like to be neglected.

Your battery is probably toast. When my lead acid die, I’ll replace with AGM.
