Inverter Retrofit?

We just purchased a used 2019 Thor Compass 24TF without an inverter and are planning a trip through the US and Canada next year. Has anyone tried to retrofit a class C RV to add an inverter? If so we would love to hear details. Potential issues that come to mind include finding space for one (not sure how large they are), methods of wiring to the existing system, how to get the new system to know when to provide AC from the inverter when the generator and shore power are off, etc.

Happy Holidays to all!!!

1,000 youtube videos about this.
Some made by a member or two of this forum.
If you plan on doi g it yourself, watch a dozen or so of the videos.
If you plan on a pro doing it, just hand them the inverter.

I asked the same question when I was putting in my inverter.
Honest,
Watch the videos.
Pictures... A thousand words... Yadda yadda.

{xantrex 3000w behind the kitchen drawers is what I settled on, professionally installed. I chose the spot, they did the STUPID amount of hours of labor.)

Thanks for the feedback. Guess I’ll check videos first to see if this is manageable.
