The manual does specify +- 3 degrees front to back (motorhome directions) and 6 degrees side to side. Most people give up up the "not so smart" auto leveling and just manual level for a better experience. Some (me included) even level their rig with a carpenter's level, then add reference levels to the dash and side wall by the driver to make manual leveling easier.
Hopefully that's your problem. The other thing is to make sure there's no obstruction to air flow from the lower vent, across the back of the fridge, to the roof vent. Some even add pancake fans back there to aid the ventilation.
