Rain Water Leak

We have a 2021 Four Winds 31w, we continue since new to have rain water coming in on the driver's side under the slide out on the front have of the slide out.

When under warranty dealer could not find, we are exasperated in our search for where the rain water is penatrating.

Any suggestions or where to look will be very much appreciated.

While under warranty did you send the certified letter to Thor after multiple dealer attempts did not correct the problem?

If you had a warranty approval and it did not get fixed I would expect them to continue to approve. They did it with us. I communicated directly with the Thor folks and they made sure the file stayed open under original warranty. Call or write them an email. They can search all work done by your VIN.

Had a leak from the slideout, when slideout was in. Nothing with slideout extended. Leak was on outside trim around the slide.

I wonder if you could shoot garden hose water there to check? Good luck these things are frustrating but you will find

Rain leak

I thought I had this on my 2021 31W, what my leak ended up being was actually a very small water leak on one of the water connections on the water heater under the kitchen sink.
Take a flashlight and squeeze in under the sink - look down, I found the floor damp there, with the water pump on I saw the leak.

Water seeks the lowest point. We had a Class C. Going through Georgia with torrential rain we had a ton of water dump onto our dining table. Took three days to find. On the other side of the RV was the antenna. The seal for the cable had a almost no See-Ums type split. A ton of water from the other side of the RV came from that small almost cannot see split in that seal. So just where the leak comes from and the opening can be very small. Try going around all the calking with a plastic putty knife to make sure that the calking is truly sealed to the roof. All exposed screws should have sealant applied in the holes and put back in. You are looking for a needle in a hay stack thing.

We had a leak along the passenger side window. Originally thought it was the seal top of the window exterior. That wasn’t it, kept exploring for the leak and ended up being the roof seam sealer. Water apparently entered at the seam in the center of the roof m h and traveled along the frame to the right and down inside the wall exiting at the window. M h ‘s are mysterious vehicles.

Does it leak when parked and slide extended? Only when raining? Does it leak when slide retracted and driving in rain? Does it leak when slide is retracted parked in rain?

We had a similar leak on our Hurricane 29M. Rain water would run along the exhaust pipe of the furnace, drip off the pipe about 4” inside the wall onto the slide floor. Then onto the main floor under the slide. It drove the wife and I nuts trying to find the source of the leak. I made a drip ring for the furnace exhaust pipe by cutting a 1 5/8” hole in a 2” OD fender washer. Slid the ring over the pipe and epoxied in place so that the water will now drip off the pipe outside the exterior furnace cover. No more leak!

So it doesn’t leak in the rain when extended. Look at the d seals all the way around the slide when extended. Especially top and sides. Sounds as if it is not sealing when retracted. Do the seals appear to be compressed when retracted. Again top and sides. Sometimes they’re just not glued on properly.

Appears to be sealed on top/corners. Going to recheck. Haven't notice any gaps.
