While you're in there doing that female plug, think of adding one of these by drilling a hole just above or below the female plug.
Based on your experience, and that damn hard to see pilot light on the cord itself, I'll be adding one of these wired right to the plug wires, and maybe wire another on the far side of the ats.
(and during my battery vs my new inverter debacle of two weeks ago, the damn shore breaker broke right in the middle of the third diagnosis, REALLY jacking up my findings and predictions. A big pilot light would have cured my full sun blindness inability to see that damn small cord pilot)

Easy mod, and at a glance you'll see where the power is on.

We called a local RV repair tech, he came over looked at it and agreed it was not suppose to look like that. He removed the plug from the side of the RV and the white wire that was attached to that lead just fell out on the ground...burnt out/off. He cleaned up the wires, tightened the screws as best as possible to get thru the weekend. We checked the ATS (what a headache to get into) and tightened some loose screws. I asked why he did not use lock-tite on the screws, said he was not allowed to.
So, any one know or have any idea why not to put lock-tite on the screws?
I am ordering a new Furrion 30AMP plug in a minute.

One thing I did a month ago was order a 90degree extension for my shore cord. I feel MUCH better without the weight of the cord being supported by the RV plug.

For 20.00 was good piece of mind I insurance...

Me too, hated that weight hanging on the plug.

Hey ducksface, I like the idea but that link looks like a replacement jewel not a waterproof 110 lamp, led would be dandy.
