Country is falling apart

Judge I absolutely agree, not sure I would ever buy a new vehicle again. I tried so hard to find a slightly used Rv (RB34 or similar unit).. I had no luck, only able to find this new unit because the buyers finance failed to go through (they don’t know how lucky they were).

In regards to the previous posting on selling. I wouldn’t sell this to an in unexpecting buyer, that would put me in the same classification as the “Big Dogs” I’m up against.

I think it's time to climb the Ford ladder and get an engineer involved in this power train issue. Ford Customer Service is generally very responsive. Once resolved and you can drive it...B-Line it straight to Wakarusa factory service center with a good list. The issue with the drive line is very rare and leads me to believe it has something to do with Thor's connection to the chassis. There's several "lockouts" they tie into that prevent coach features from operating while chassis engine running/emergency brake not engaged, etc. With all the safety issues you are having, I'd push heavily on Thor to come get the coach themselves...they have done that a few times in the past.

What timing

I sent an email this morning asking engineering to get involved.

I told the wife also this morning, if it fails again after this fix, it sits where it dies until someone comes pick it up. Hauled to Thor Hauled to Ford. I’m just going to rent a uhaul and head back to Montana!

After this fiasco I think I’m done with the Rv experience after 15 years. At least until America gets back on track with some pride and courage.

A few short years ago, while transferring a friends yacht through the Trent Severn Waterway, I witnessed a drug store in Canada that had a small window in the back of it with an orange juice machine running behind it and lots of really questionable people waiting in line for their cup of "juice"...grinning like possums once they left. Lady said it was a Methadone Dispensary run by the government. I think these people have migrated south into the Elkhart area...and got a job.

Update

Second fuse box replacement still not completed, but have been calling around to other Ford commercial shops.

Apparently other dealerships are having similar problems with parts. They are repairing the vehicles with immediate second failures. The parts coming to them are failing, and this is multiple dealerships. I am beginning to wonder where “all” this is going to end up. The Roman Empire failed when it could no longer be productive.

They have just legalized drugs in all the areas. Seattle is our future.

3rd power train failure

We’ll just had the 3rd power train failure, made it 7 miles! This is the definition of a lemon. I just emailed Thor to come and get it. I am just going to rent a uhaul and head to Montana I think.

No most of us are not ready but will be after reading this!
I hope the OP does not lose their mind.

Sadly its a 100% Ford issue until they prove Thor did something wrong with the chassis. Have you had any luck with brass hats at Ford? If its still at a Ford service center, leave it there and go to the top with Ford. Thor brass hats should have a very close, personal contact with Ford and can get someone on their level involved quickly. Thor is a mega-major customer of Ford and should be able to help.

If EVER in billings use kurts rv repair.
He is a 30 year tech son electrician.

Once you get back have thor send parts to them to fix

No engine work and both hate Ford engines.

Oh wow, I don't know if I would have even taken delivery of the unit until they proved to me they drove it 20+ miles! That really sucks!

Most MH's have a least a couple thousand miles on them when you buy it. Chassis delivery to Thor, then Thor delivery to the dealers.

This sounds like a problem someone on the board with Thor needs to get involved in. Someone with a string tied to another someone with Ford Motor Company.

I have a question. Is it the same Ford Dealer making the repair on both of the failures?

It's not a lemon until you've complied with the lemon law in the state where you bought it, IF it is even covered by a lemon law. Do your research and comply or you will be setting yourself up for an even larger loss if you just "drive away" in a U-Haul.

Brass request

I am taking this to the top. Rv was bought in Florida and they do have a lemon law. After 3rd breakdown for same issue starts the process or substantial loss of use. It’s a chassis lemon law basically.

Ford customer service has now requested engineering involvement. They are talking about sending an engineer to the dealership. Thor customer service is now very very actively involved. I am leaving the Rv in Wisconsin and renting a uhaul to get all my stuff out of the Rv and head back to Montana. I told Thor today that I expect to hear from a VP or the P.. I have no intention of getting behind that wheel until it’s 100%.

The big dogs are going to have to work this out.

Good for you!!! This is totally unacceptable and even though this is a Ford issue, Thor should also be involved to help make things right.

Keep us posted!
