Toilet flange removal/replacement?

Anyone out there removed the old toilet flange? Is it glued to the tank?
I'm having trouble with the CHH toilet valve running water. I have operated the dump arm it seems the valve is wide open and stays that way. This is a tall toilet which we installed last year. I was thinking I could just raise the old toilet by cutting out the old flange add a little pipe, a new flange and raise the old toilet to a height we like. The pipe in the old Dommetic toilet is almost large enough for 3" pic pipe, however the flange is 3 1/4 OD
Ideas welcome

1. What's a "CHH toilet valve"?
2. Dump arm? Is that the ball valve for the toilet or the dump valve for the tank?
3. You installed a tall toilet last year but now you want to raise the flange to make it taller?

The only thing I understand is you want to put a 3 1/4" OD pipe into a 3" ID hole.

1.CHH is the brand name of the toilet
2.The problem is the water valve hangs open and I can't figure a way to get to it inside the toilet. I got the 4 bolts from underneath the unit out and the bottom would separate from the top.
3. I installed a tall toilet( this one) last year. since this one appears to be unserviceable I was going to raise the old toilet to replace the one I installed last year.
Sorry it was very clear in my head.
The big question is how to replace the flange. If I can get that out I can then raise the older toilet, my old knees like not bending so low

Maybe I'm dense but this is what I understand so far:

You had a short functioning toilet but it was too short so you replaced it with a tall toilet.

The tall toilet now has a problem that you can't fix so you want to go back to the original toilet; but you want to raise it so the seat height is similar to a tall toilet.

It that is the case I would easily replace the tall toilet with another tall toilet long before I started messing around with the flange and entry into the black tank and building a platform for a short toilet.

I can not verify how your flange is installed, but when I did a cargo trailer conversion last year with a black tank and toilet the flange went through the floor into the top of the black tank through a rubber seal. The flange was supported by being screwed into the floor. If that is the case with your installation it would be easy to unbolt the flange and pull it out to remove it. The hard part would be installing the replacement flange through the two holes in the platform and floor and then blindly through the rubber sealing flange correctly so it doesn't leak.

Yes you've got it. I may well have to just do a replacement, or give up and put the old one back in. Between the knees and back getting up off low seats ia getting harder. I made the mistake of getting an off brand toilet that parts seem to impossible to find.
Thanks for the response,
Grady

I understand the "getting old" part, but I'm fighting it the best I can.

You don't think a new porcelain toilet like this would work?

16Ace 27 Yes, that's probably what we'll try next. That's what I get for trying to save $100.
Thanks

Take a look at this link, it has a pretty good picture of the flange.

Have you taken the foot pedal apart?

Thanks the toilet I'm having trouble with.
I wanted to reinstall the old short toilet but raise it a couple inches to make it more comfortable for my long legs.
Thanks

If you reinstall the original take a look at this.

Toilet Riser, Parchment - $25.46

Well isn't that special! May be exactly what the OP needs.

I installed something like that in my first travel trailer; a 1977 Mallard Goldeneye 25 foot bunkhouse that I purchased in 2000. It worked great while I had the Trailer and saved me from dealing with the soft spot in the floor where the toilet was. It was slightly cheaper when I bought it in 2002.

A "standard one" of what? Who are you directing the question to?
