Check your owners manual for specific towing instructions. Setup is VERY specific for each vehicle capable of being flat-towed. Otherwise, you might trash your transmission or other drive components beyond repair! $$$

I flat tow a Jeep Wrangler TJ with a Blue Ox tow bar. I installed an Invisibrake in the Jeep with diodes for the brake lights.

I did a complete self install for about $1,800. Having a 28 year old son for a helper was golden. Having the proper tools and suitable mechanical/electrical skills is a must for DIY... it can be a knuckle buster! Otherwise, I suggest finding an install facility.

I've towed 2 different older jeeps easy set ups, the new cars a lot more complicated but I'll be careful. The encore GX is the twin of the Trail Blazer so I'm reading what those owners are doing

I could be wrong...
But I don't think that modern AWD vehicles are capable of being towed four-down.
UNLESS there is a way to put a transfer case in neutral...

I would be suspect of ANY awd vehicle that you might 'think' can be towed 4-down - that's NOT a normal transmission setup that lends itself to being towed, even on a tow dolly.

ONLY your manufacturer/owner manual is the final say - not us.

That's the research I did, owners manual, called Buick, checked Buick online forums. My question is, of those people that are towing the Encore GX what towbar and braking system are they using.

I guess I tilted this wrong I Know this car is flat towable, I was looking for suggestions for braking setups and wiring up the rear lights on the car for towing.

It might be hard to find someone towing that specific vehicle. But most tow systems are the same.

I'd suggest looking at the ready brute elite system. It's a tow bar and brake system combined. For lights look at Hopkins systems. They make several

I've used this system for the past 5 years. Did install by my self in an afternoon. I wouldnt use anything else

Also check out etrailer.com. put your car specs in then search products. It will tell you if it's a fit for your car. Get model numbers for everything you need then look around for best price. Etrailer is usually priced fairly. Don't order online. If you call they will normally give you 5-10% off

Encore GX 1 Yes N/A All-wheel drive 70 mph 3,256 lbs. 171.4 in.
1 Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery and secure the nut and bolt. Cover the negative battery post with nonconductive material to prevent contact with the negative battery terminal. Use of a shield mounted in front of the vehicle grille could restrict airflow and and cause damage to the transmission.

We really like our Roadmaster set up. We use their Brake Master so we can use it on either of our cars.

Just finished our 1300mi tow from pa to key west and the encore gx towed great. The RVi 3 system, brake, battery charger, tire patrol, tablet and hub worked great. The roadmaster battery disconnect is so easy and the button in the wheel well is great no problems with water since we've driven and towed in a lot of rain. Very satisfied and we really like the car too 30+ mpg, quite and comfortable and with the sport touring pkg it doesn't look like your father's Buick.

Can't figure out how to post pictures but if it helps the safety chain hooks and tow bar attachments are just above the red strip across middle of grill and light cord plug is just below that strip. I'll keep trying.
