Water Valve - OOPS!

We normally spend our winters in Key West. Due to some family illnesses, we returned home early. Had a problem getting our winterization done and I missed some water in ice maker water valve. During our first trip for spring break with some of our grands, I found out about the water valve issue as water ran out and all over the floor. I quickly turned the valve back off.

Today I spent the morning fixing the valve. Built a short frame, laid some plywood on top of it and pulled the fridge out. Put the new valve on and pushed the fridge back into place. Whole operation - about 2 hours and a $31 valve. So much for spending the winter in the cold!

This really went easier than I could have hoped.
