Here's one more suggestion. West of Woodbine, Iowa (my home town) is Willow Lake Recreation Area. A very nice well kept park in the rolling hills 6 miles west of Woodbine on Easton Trail. Here's the blurb from their website.
"Willow Lake Recreation Area consists of a 27-acre fishing lake with boat ramp access, fishing jetties, handicap fishing pier, 6 miles of prairie and woodland trails, campground with electricity, water and shower houses with restrooms (open April 1st through October 31st).
