Also the rv had some extra inhabitants before I bought it. I had to dig this pile of seeds, eggs, crap, sticks, fluff, etc out from all over the engine.

No, but I took all their worldly possessions and threw them in the trash

Yikes! Did the little buggers chew up any wiring during their habitation?

Hey, Jerry,
You should really re-think your diet plan.
But seriously, our prayers are with you, and we have hope that you both will recover fully.

Newbie on board
Hello, I recently purchased 2nd hand 2017 Windsport 31S.
After the ownership of RV, I have been reading this thread extensively for valuable info
from everyone. Specially Halfprice's Mod pictures and detailed procedures.
Purchasing the used RV requires some repair job to do plus enhancements for better
drivability.
Currently, My RV has passenger side small window at foot well area is leaking
(Plan to replace window sealant) and coach battery disconnect switch is not
working (Plan to replace with new battery disconnect relay).
My next project will be
1, Install surge protectors from Progressive Industries.
2. Install TPMS.
3. Flow-Rite Qwik-Fill kit # mp-2000.
4. Steering improvement: this task makes me confusing which product to choose?
a. Safe-T-Plus
b. Roadmaster steering stabilizer
c. Halfprice's picture shows that installing unknown product to end of
anti-sway bar. (Halfprice! could you share the product info Please)
I like to hear the performance of above products if anyone already installed on their RV.
I will appreciate very much to every input.
Thanks again.

I used the roadster steering stabilizer, the CHF with the add on plate on the sway bar ( look at Half price drawing for specs on the plate. I also had it aligned and added the rear trac bar.
This took: 1. 75% of the wander out of the steering, 2. the feeling of it wanting to roll over going around turns, plus the most of the push pull of semis

Welcome to the forum and the Thor owners.
I installed the roadmaster stabilizer. A lot of people here have used the Safe-T-Plus. Not sure it matters what manufacturer you get. I do recommend you get one.
The quick fill was one of the first things I did.
I think Halfprice (Jerry) made his own extension on the front sway bars. He has COVID and is a little under the weather so you may not hear from him for awhile.
I got a Tire Minder TPMS system. Jerry told me he had used one for years so that’s what I went with.
Hope this helps.

here an update, as you might remember, the day they delivered my coach I removed all the sticker... took less than an hour....next,... we went on a 2 week trip and I was able to convince my wife we need recliners, and from day one she has never layed down on the couch...so,.. it got that done today... I removed the pad off the bottom as if you recall the seat hight was a concern of mine.. it did lower it about an inch... I just unhooked the duct where it was spliced and left it behind the sofa on the floor,... my idea was that the seats would be warm and also retain the radiant heat longer... ... I've got over 9000 miles trouble free from the coach sor far, and we are very happy with it..
also we got a yorkie pup.....lol..she sure is feisty
also. if you remember I moved our tv to the dinette window wall . so it's pretty much right in front of the recliners, took about an hour to install the rec-pro, and thanks for recomending them.. i took about 4 days for it to get to vegas, so I was way happy
also want to let you now I got the 300 watt solar done... sure works great..
happy trails my friend....hope to get the chance to meet up with you some day...

Hello, I am thinking about installing solar panel on my RV.
Could you share the info?
Some of questions I have below
1. How did you installed solar panel on top of roof?
2. Did you had to install on structural member of RV?
4. Did you tied to factory installed solar panel wiring or routed your self?
5. What is name brand of solar panel and controller?
6. Any wiring schematic or diagram to share?
Thanks

Having driven a Hurricane 31S for five years, I do have some comments. You do need some extra sway control. I chose Sumo Springs front and rear. Totally satisfied. Dropped the front tire pressure to 75 psi raised the rear tire pressure to 85 psi. New Sumitomo ST719 tires with TST TPMS. A rear track bar from Super Steer. I had the alignment checked and all was good. I have a Roadmaster spare tire carrier. I do travel with 30 gals of water in the tank. Flo-Rite on two EverStart 29DC batteries. I have never felt the need for steering stabilizer.
My coach came as 30 amp, but I converted it to 50 amps - PPS power center, internal Progressive EMS, Xantrex Freedom Xi 2000 inverter with sub-panel, Coleman Mach 8 heat pump in the bedroom.

Solar has little value unless you're boondocking and don't want to run your generator.
It's greatest and oft needed value is simply to keep your batteries charged during long sitting spells.
If you're under way daily, there is almost zero value to solar.
I know the cool kids are doing it. Ask them, bottomline, no religion, why. Await an answer.
I have solar on all equipment that sits for long periods with sunshine on it. Greenhouse, Trailers, offroader, the gator, tractor, game cameras... Not in the MotorHome. It lives inside.
Get an ags,
Automatic generator starter.
Cheap and easy install. Priceless usability.
The surge protector is a nicety, not a necessity.
Tpms is a very very good thing to have.
But
It is NOT a definitive you watch like a souffle.
It is to glance at on occasion and to set off an alarm during an abnormality.
Invest, right now, in a good inexpensive handheld type tool box and load it with various sealant, both tape and tube. Keep it in the rv. Do a scheduled walk arou d and ladder climb.

Mine is a xantrex.
They're pretty simple and all brands are about the same.
If they don't have a digital display they are a series off three button pushes, wait for three flashes, push another two times yadda yadda.
I think it was $128.
Many of them:
Come on at a preset time
Won't come on at a preset time frame
Come on if your batteires are low
Come on preset any day of the week for any preset time to exercise itself.
COME ON AND ACTIVATES YOUR ROOF AC BASED ON YOUR THERMOSTAT SETTING.(pet people love this feature)

If you have gas can you set it to com on and go off at a certain temperature. Then if you have your rv ac thermostats set then ac would would kinda control the agc which would control the generator. With less wiring. Or am I trying to make it too simple. I don't have solar or inverter. I'm just trying to protect pets
