Did you order them key retaining and if so why?

Don't think I'd want key retaining. You can only remove key when locked. Non-key retaining allows you to remove key when locked or unlock. Seems like it would be a pain to have to lock each time to remove key to go to next access door.

Fishing Pole Holder

Fishing Pole Holder:

In the 2016 Vegas 24.1 (E350) there is an area under the driver's seats that is accessible on the outside from both sides of the unit. In that space there is a thin space 4 plus inches high by 26 inches wide. I am building a mount that will use 5 tubes of 1 1/2 inch by 5 foot PVC pipe to store my fishing poles.

I have drilled 2 inch holes in a 15 inch piece of 1X4 secured to a piece of 1X2 with nails and glue. I will mount the frames to the underside (just inside where the chairs are bolted to the floor) run the PVC pipe across, glue some 1 inch sleeves cut from 2 inch PVC on both sides of the frames to lock it in place. I have notched the 5 foot PVC to allow the reels to hang down and will secure the rods in place with a bungie cord anchored to pipe one and pipe five and weaved up and over the fishing reels.

I will be painting the wood frames tomorrow and get it installed once it quits raining. I'll post a completed project picture then.

I installed 3 of these at a condo pool area ~1.5 years ago - still going strong - great product.

My wife won't say this, as she probably has one she likes better, but the best one I have done so far, and I've done a lot, is the 400w solar system. It's works awesome!

When it comes to mods, I don't do simple.

But out of the perhaps 50 or so mods I have done to my rig, the best one has to be the addition of Bigfoot hydraulic levelers. I suppose it is simple in a way as all I did was write the check, and none of the installation.

Finally, painted, finished and assembled the fishing pole mount and got it installed today (need one more end cap). Now when I want a specific pole to fish with it will be readily available and ready to go...not tangled and buried someplace.

Mine were not noticeably noisy, (I guess they would pop if they caught wind in the opposite direction). So, the new vent covers do prevent the occasional popping noise.

The weather was a bit soggy so rather than go to the mountains we sat in the RV out in the driveway and watched the Superbowl. The Panther's play was so boring (not to mention a couple of questionable ref calls) that I fell asleep in the 4th quarter in my recliner!

We are looking forward to better weather so as to head back up to Cherokee and Happy Holiday Camping site to do a bit more trout fishing and utilize the E-Z fishing pole access .

Always looking for a way to reduce noise in the RV!

Any warranty issues? Thanks for the post.
