Favorite camping gadget for under $50

I'm looking for some ideas to gift to a relative that we are camping with next week... He has been camping a long time and has just about every gadget I can think of.
What is your favorite recent gadget $50 or under?

Thanks

Well under $50 and used all the time:

- Iron fire (fireplace) poker
- Small hatchet
- Poly rope (long) and sack of clothes pins
- Headlamp (couple)
- Rechargeable lantern

Well under $50 and can be used both camping and at home to light campfires and grills or patio lights, etc.

Mosquito traps. Not sure they really work. But hearing all those zaps puts a little smile on my face.

It's an excellent thought for a thread but camping encompasses Naked And Afraid all the way to Newell .

I'll suggest a USB chargeable headlamp.
You can't have too many of them.

Or

https://www.amazon.com/topmeet-Magaz...xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

These hold a lighter, knife, a lamp, blood clotter, and if you fold it correctly a space blanket.

I saw the title of the link to Amazon and thought “we added magazine holders by the sofa so that would be a nice gift”. Then I clicked on the link. . . . Doh!

Steaks. My new rule of life is..."if I can't wear it or eat it, I don't need it". Most seasoned campers have way more gadgets than they need already and you've confirmed he has everything. Other than than...those battery powered "pop on, pop off" lights that you can mount anywhere are cool for storage bays, closets, under dining canopies an other tight dark spaces.

Thanks all for the ideas - I ended up getting a few "Pop on Pop off, wrap on wrap off" battery sensor lights. One for me and one for him if I am able to part with one after using them... As mentioned one can never have enough flashlights, lights, headlights, sensor lights and gadgets.

A Favorite under $50 rv thing I have:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Post 144,145 in my signature thread.
Mine is installed upside down and pulls DOWN from the overhead cabinet.

My wireless remote control for the bathroom fan was $12ish.
My 5" echo/alexa display is $19 right now.
I've bought dash cams for far less than $50.
The tpms on my vehicles(except the RV) were less than $50.
My 12v compressor was $18ish.
My ryobi 12v compressor was $38ish
8 gallons of gas that takes me 65miles is $50....

Gift under $50

A nice campfire dinner would be enjoyable. Hotdogs on a stick and chili in the Lodge Dutch oven is fairly simple.

That’s one of my favorite RV meals. Especially after a long days drive. A couple of campfire cooked chili dogs and a couple of ice cold Black and Tans. Sadly DW insists on “better” food!

Campfire meal

Our go-to meal after the 3 hour ride to the beach is chili dogs. Nothing could be simpler except for a jaunt to The Hut for fish and chips.

Hands down, best under $50 toy you can get is a Bug-A-Salt. Shooting guns is fun, killing sky insects is satisfying, so with that you can have boat pads of entertainment for the price of salt.
