I always used RTV silicone from GC Electronics so it would not eat into the metal like standard silicone does. Hot Glue would be easier to remove in order to remove the screw in the future.

Order two orders to complete the hood.
Perfect width.
Perfect height.

Where exactly did you put these on the hood, difficult to tell from the pics. Thanks

Along the inside-most unfinished edge so it squashes to the cap. You can see it in this picture. It's clear of color and a bit to make out but it's that added piece you don't see on your rv.
No REAL reason for it except I'm able.
The hood seemed to shake a bit on rougher roads.
This might stop it. It closes the hood/cap gap which was left unaddressed by Thor.
And it might possibly be a lesser/addditive wind noise eliminated.
Another course of action would be standard foam rubber moulding on the cap to provide the squish/fill.
It's inelegant, but it's easy Home-Depot type stuff.

The gift I gave, a ender3pro 3d printer has returned to me.
They're downsizing their house so it's living in the Behemoth(my shop) for a couple of years at which point it'll be outdated and I'll buy them a new one.
Punchline.
Someone send me some gcode items for pla prints of things we can use on an axis/Vegas.
Dash containers, outlet panels for that silly little cubby under the radio, a better/deeper little bin on the drivers side cup holder rail/under window thingy, a phone holder for the side of the seat, defroster vent deflectors, heater vent reflectors, fridge dividers, a stop to absolutely hold the stove glass upright, a thingy to go on the shower pan to hold the damnable shower curtain where it should be, clips to hang drying towels to the outside ladder, dash cam mount, a hood to shield the radio display from sunlight, a box designed to hold a hepa filter on the ac intake hoses, a panel to Mount fans behind the fridge...those sort of things.
If our community will do the code, I'll do the printing and tuning and the mailing for the community.

Has anyone applied that ceramic wax stuff?
Will it affect my decals?
Shouldn't Thor pay for this?

Today I noticed a small windshield Thor Vegas at a VERY edgy repair shop in williams arizona. If You're awaiting a part I can live without for a while, borrow it from me and get down the road and on your way.
Transfer switch, bird, headlight switch....that sort of thing.
I live near Williams.
Pm me if you're being held hostage for a part.

Wednesday we leave on aroad trip
Lake Havasu the first day, then we'll flip a coin at crossroads.
30 to 60 days of the coin telling us whete to go, then we'll head back.
We'll occasionally defy the coin. We have no use for downtown los Angeles or Houston or Chicago or tornados.
Many museums in many small towns, two lane roads, yard sales and antique stores .

The highway system is much more relaxing than the interstate. When going across country, we used the highway system a lot. Roads were in much better shape then the interstate. Lights and towns, but much more relaxing. My dad never camped, but did take highway rout 20 from Massachusetts to Washington. Lots of great pictures of picturesque small towns.

Just outside Farmington nm tonight.
At mile post 295 on i40 there is a starbucks like no other and an odd antique store. Nothing else except Knife City(you've seen it) is on that exit.
I bought an excellent and HUGE polished craftsman circular saw with the barn type fitted case, the matching belt sander and box shaped case(late 40's early fifties) along with a 3 inch diameter brass steam whistle(with manifold and valve) all for $100.
There's a picture farther back in this thread of my very big 5" diameter whistle.

Pagosa Springs tonight.
We only made 101 miles today.
We're parking at an alpaca ranch tonight.
Few things bought today.
A cufflinks box with a clock built in, and a little box I'll convert to hold an echo/Alexa, some very girly 100ish year old handkerchiefs(I carry very girly handkerchiefs), nothing else.

Harvest host.
The farm is called alpacalypse(I think this is very funny)
We were worried about the spitting and such. Host said alpacad seldom spit except at each other. They don't want to be touched but they ate3 pretty thoughtful and quiet. Kind of a cat attitude but I'm not sure they'd eat your eyes out if you died in the apartment.
Beautiful 120° view of a valley and the rockies.
We backroaded from Farmington when up the 64. Only had two cars going our way in 101miles, maybe 50 going opposite.
This is our first harvest host experinece.
We'll do
Boondockers welcome
Also.
We won't advertise on the apps, but we'll reciprocate for the hosts at our homes rv sites.
Clouds are obscuring better pic tomorrow if it clears.up on the mountains.

We're in leadville Colorado. The golf course. Harvest host. No reservation.
We went over wolf creek pass.
A v10 Miramar doing 20mph up it, the diesel c class (we passed 3 of them)all slowing waaaayyy down due to (I'm guessing)exhaust temp Just me and a c lass, maybe an old leprauchan(they were always 100yards ahead of me), eating everyone's lunch up that hill.
We both did the speed limit all the way up.
Wyoming tomorrow, maybe.
We did county roads when we could. Some were prrrettty scary up in the mountains.
Lots of potato farm roads.

I mention the exhaust gas because we had a friend who bought a super c and he had an exhaust gas overheat on hiway 180 going north out of flagstaff(sunset crater hill) and had to regulate his speed to keep it where he wanted it on the guage.
Is that a thing or did he goof up?
