Since nothing is open in CA, including all CA overnight Parks
This is my backyard set-up as a way to enjoy the RV in December
Got the Dish on with all my favorite channels, and crawl inside when the sun goes down

We did that trail 5-6 years ago in a crew cab dually & that's as big a vehicle as I'd care to do it in, NO WAY would I do it in a motorhome.
With a 1 to 10 scale for pucker factor that's about a 12 in a big vehicle!!! In a Jeep it's about a 2....

I suspect that many RVers are using their rigs differently than in the past, due to Covid. We use ours to go to take out restaurants so we can get away from home for a while and enjoy the food before it cools off.

How do you like the 7.3 liter engine? How's the fuel mileage and the power?

The engine is fantastic, plenty of power and torque and very quiet.
Ford also beefed up the sway bars on the new chassis so the MH tracks good.
This was a 2300 miles round trip - MH has now 4500 miles, the fuel consumption is 7.5mpg towing and 8.5mpg not towing @ 65mph.
If this engine follows the new Ford engines, it should break in @ 30K miles and mpg should improve a bit... lets see...
Overall I love this engine.

It would be interesting to compare the power and torque of the v-8 to the v-10. Fuel mileage is about the same as I get on our 27K. I tow a 12-foot enclosed, dual axle trailer with about a 1,500 pound load.

If I recall correctly, the 7.3 have 350hp and 465ftlbs of torque.
Torque peaks at 3500 rpm which is really nice compared to the 400 ftlbs @ 4500rpms of my previous gas truck...

I am surprised that it doesn't have more power and torque. My Tundra has 381 HP and 400 foot pounds of torque, but it's at a pretty high rpm. With the six speed transmission it it shifts down and up a lot. I wonder how yours compares to the old Chevy 454.

My previous F150, a 2018 with the V8 and 10spd transmission, had 395hp and 400ftlbs of torque but all that was at 4500rpm and I hated the 10 speed...
This one never goes above 3500rpm and the 6spd transmission is just right.
your truck as most of trucks run empty most of the time, a MH chassis is a truck that runs with at least 70% cargo capacity its entire life...
Different duty cycles...
For comparison, a Cummins X15 engine on semi trucks have around 600hp while people are getting 760hp from the 5.0 coyote....
The Cummins will run 1 million miles, the coyote will not...

Back on subject....
Next 2 months @ Twin Palms in Rio Hondo, TX.
Due to the Canuck border being closed, this RV park is only @ 30% capacity..

Pechanga RV resort, Temecula, Ca. One of our favorite campgrounds. Close to home and darn near full considering what's going on in California.

Does this count?
Haven't yet got to do a proper camping trip yet, but I did take it down to the local Walmart to run the slides out, and clean it a bit.

Flathead River. Max stay allowed - 3 consecutive days. When the pack melts, the river can rise 10 or more feet and no more camping spot until it recedes.

Agreed on the P.F. scale. And, toss in about 6 hours of replacing and tightening screws that fell out of the dash because of the rough going, and I can guarantee its a ride we won't be repeating in the MagicBus anytime soon! But, boy!.. it's a 'bucket-list ride' I'm glad we braved.

Thornhill Broome Beach - Point Mugu, California
On the Ventura County line, just north of Malibu...This is currently the only beach near L.A. County that allows fires (you know...the virus lurks around beach fires )
This is a CA State Parks campground.
No power or septic, but porta-potties &
non-potable water.
Campground is full, but about 8-10 no-shows since bookings required nearly 3-4 months out.

Four Winds 28A in Glamis
We took our 28A to Glamis for it's maiden voyage. What a crazy time! Everything worked great except the water heater. Blew a thermal coupling and didn't figure it out until a few weeks later.
Next is Julian at the end of June!
