Nice to see the corporate willingness to make sacrifices starting at the top.

They're actually playing it pretty smart...
Once the virus is under control: how much disposable income is going to be spent on TVs?

Interesting read of the RV industries response.

We will be impacted like almost every other industry.... especially if dealers in other states adopt quarantining RV's for a number of days before they begin service.

My dealer, General RV, does not have drop off service today. They only do same day service on the date of your scheduled appointment.

Parts are going to be short supply at some point. I think many dealers were closed so parts weren't being consumed at the usual rate but once dealers open and repairs start, inventory will be depleted more quickly and then Thor has to rely on when their vendors can go back to production to resupply their parts.

I'm glad I am able and willing to do as many repairs, upgrades and modifications as possible. I had to have my appointment cancelled back on April 1 when my dealer closed down and waiting to be rescheduled. I have knocked several items off my warranty punch list myself.

So the big dogs at Thor take a pay cut while the workers get furloughed and the customers needing warranty service get screwed. Now if Thor or the RVIA had announced a warranty extension program to ensure new owners got the full value of their purchase I would have been impressed.

Based on my experiences with Thor.... if you ask about extending the warranty because of in ability if dealer to address warranty issues because of COVID-19 or because you could not use the rig enough to uncover issues, they would take care of you in either case.

Nothing in the news about Thor but Winnebago is extending on some RVs.

I have heard from a couple industry people that Thor is opening back up on Monday. Hopefully they will consider extending warranties once they start reopening operations.

BRP.... the manufacturer of my Can-Am Spyder and Ski-Doo snowmobiles... announced last week they are extending warranties expiring the first half of this year by 90 days.
