PDI complete and Picked Up Vegas 24.1
Completed the PDI at the Thor dealer (General RV of Tampa). It went great only a few minor problems that were fixed immediately. The engine compartment cover was difficult to open (required lube on the hinge). Piece of trim on ceiling above front bunk loose (repaired). Screw for the front table pedestal were not completely tightened (tightened screws).
After reading some of the horror stories on this forum of PDIs that had "gone south), I was a bit schizoid about mine. It looks like either Thor has tightened up their quality or this dealer did a superior job before I got there for the PDI. All tubing, wires, etc that penetrated the floors were sealed well with expanding caulk (even the 3 water drains under the pax bed). I removed all bottom drawers, and there was absolutely no saw dust, trash, or screws laying anywhere. Everything fit, was tight, no gaps. Finish inside and out was perfect. They even washed it and used a spray wax on it.
The great thing about the attached pix is that it is sitting in the parking lot of our apartment complex waiting for the first break in trip (Disney World Fort Wilderness 26-31 Aug).
