RV insurance

Need help finding an affordable RV insurance--got PROGRESSIVE now and finding they are just what I expected. Want to raise my rates for their mistake-(registered the wrong model). Looked on COMPLAINTS web site and progressive has a bunch.
Any good reliable and reasonable rates out there.
P.S I'm with USAA car insurance and that's who they have as their RV insurer. So have to go it alone
My unit is a 2017 vegas 24.1

I'm happy with my MH coverage through Allstate.

Don't bother with AAA, they don't want MH business. I went with National thru CW.

I bundled our RV with Safeco. I've also got the house, car, Spyder, and Umbrella policy with them.
The pricing worked out to be way better than I would have guessed: they're not a company that specializes in RVs...
But the convenience factor was the added bonus to the package!

I have been using Amica Insurance for many years. They are the oldest auto insurer in America, but they are not well known because they rarely advertise. I have all of my policies (auto, TV, home) with them and get a discount for having multiple policies.

RV insurance

I believe if you read the reviews you’ll find they all have their nightmare stories.
I have USAA as well but they don’t insure RVs so Progressive it is for me as well. That and MA regulates insurance carriers so very limited pickings for carriers. No one wants to deal with Taxachusetts politics.
I had Amica for car insurance but USAA saved me a TON of $$ over Amicas rates.

X2 for National. Stay away from State Farm if you like to keep money in your wallet.

National General for us. About 60 bucks a month. Dont know if thats high or low but worked for us. I do know it is way under State Farm who insures our car and home. We have had no claims on the motor home so their fairness in settling claims is not know and hopefully I will ever find out.

When choosing insurance: service after a claim is FAR more important than pricing.
The money that you save can turn out to be awfully expensive!

Insurance costs vary with so many factors, your state, your driving record, age and credit history, etc.

We have used an agency out of Arizona, Overland. They specialize in RV insurance. Nobody has been able to touch them when we have shopped over the years. 800-677-4027. It is a family run agency and they know their stuff.

Note: if you have an umbrella liability policy over your car and home insurance, be sure to tell the carrier about your RV coverage.

We're bundled with Safeco, same as Bob. Our RV is on the same policy as our cars. Rate was the best when I shopped around.

Me, too. Left Sate Farm after 25 years. 700 bucks we can use on fuel per year.

Hasn't been my experience at all with AAA. They cover my cars, the motor home and our house, and have for years. I have found them reasonable and responsive.

How many of you have full replacement coverage? I chose a policy that will buy me a new MH if mine is totaled within 5 years and full purchase price thereafter. Not sure it’s worth it but then, I feel that way about most insurance.

Me three. They have the best price of all the companies I checked. Their Auto Insurance prices are ridiculous however. I use USAA for my cars.

I wonder if it's regional. I'm Socal and have been with them for house, cars, trucks and cycle for 36 years. I got a double talk run around and they wouldn't drive 2 miles to look at it for a quote. I'll go shopping when renewal comes around.

We use Farm Bureau. I appreciate being able to meet with or talk to my agent any time...he is always available. Over the years I have had my share of claims and when the need arises I simple call "Rob" and he takes care of it all. It is also bundled with my other vehicles and homeowner's insurance so my "umbrella" coverage would kick in ($2,000,000), if needed.

I too am in SoCal, and when I replaced my DP with the Gemini, they sent a rep out to storage to check it, and take photos of it. Have no explanation for your experience, or why. I too have been with them for many many years. Cost wise, once the discounts I get, are subtracted, and the annual dividend is applied, no one else can even get close to their rates.
