I hate financing things but will if the interest rate is less than I'm getting from investments. When I was buying the Omni in May of this year, I researched various rates. Yes USAA has $35K maximum they loan on RVs. My local FCU was in the 5+% rate with no real maximum and long terms, 20 year as I recall. I let the dealer "run the numbers" and they had a Bank of the West rate of 3.99% for the 20 years. NO prepayment penalty but they ask you make 6 payments since the dealer and bank give each other "kickbacks or some consideration". Since I sold my truck and previous trailer for more $$$ that the Omni cost, my second payment will be $100K over the normal required. I'll carry it for the requested 6 months, requested not required, with a minimum of principal balance so the interest charges are minimal.
EDIT adding; It helps to be financially responsible and have good credit ratings. Mine run in the 800+ which get the best rates. Irks me that their inquiries into my credit lowered it some. Oh well just a numbers game for them.

This doesn't help the op but I don't think I'll finance anything in my life again. I hate loans. So it's cash or I don't buy it

You: ok, but sell me the warranty at cost. Open the book, show me, do it.
Finance guy 'ok!'
Then
Send payoff check to finance company before your first payment.
Aside.
Warranties are cancelable at any time during their life regardless of using it or not.
Money back, miles or years, whichever favors the warranty company. The warranty company outlay for work is not factored, they lose.
